Pathophysiology refers to the study of physiological processes that are connected with a particular disease or injury. Asthma pathophysiology therefore looks at everything from how asthma is caused, the parts of the body it affects, and the functions of those parts. Asthma or allergies always affects these parts. The airways are constricted by the asthmatic attack, meaning air is not able to pass through. The symptoms of asthma include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.Allergy triggers are the start of an asthma attack. Whatever causes the airways to become inflamed and swelled, leading to a asthma attack, is the trigger. What asthma pathophysiology researchers do is determine how these conditions can be best managed. No clear cut cure exists for asthma.Prevention is another element of asthma pathophysiology, as it searches for ways to prevent asthma attacks from occurring. Asthma pathophysiology attempts to understand the way in which an asthma attack happens. What we know from all this is that each person has different triggers. An allergic attack can be caused by a trigger for one person, but not for another. The lungs are a part of asthma pathophysiology due to the airways being blocked. Air is not able to pass through at all due to the swelling.Airway inflammation, bronchial spasm, excess mucus secretion, hypersensitivity and allergy are factors that play significant roles in the development of the disease. When airways are hypersensitive, allergens cause a severe reaction from the bronchial tubes. Coughing and suffocation can result from this reaction. The hypersensitivity of the body to external sources is allergy. Many asthma patients have certain kinds of allergies that trigger inflammation.Airways are flooded when excess mucus is secreted from the bronchial system. This happens when one is hyper-responsive to irritants. An excess of mucus prevents air from pass through the airways naturally. What are the most prevalent asthma triggers? They include allergens, eczema, and family history. Babies are more prone to asthma if the mother smoked heavily while they were in the womb. The environment, temperature changes, obesity, and air pollution are other triggers.

The Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler is the single most important thing that changed my life. As a kid, I grew up suffering from asthma. My grandmother discovered I had the condition when I was a baby. I was 2 months old, and one night I was having trouble breathing and my face was getting blue when I was laying in my cot. They rushed me to the hospital, and the doctors diagnosed that I had asthma. Asthma is makes your life quite difficult. You suffer from shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. It feels like you are suffocating consciously and constantly whenever there are attacks. Gasping for breath and oxygen is a both a relief and a pain.Sometimes, asthma would prevent me from going to school. I would be absent for three to five days until my attacks subside. Well, as a kid, I naturally LOVED being away from school! I got away from homework and assignments that the teacher gives us so frequently. But the downside was that I was literally in pain. Well, my lungs were. Breathing was short, painful, and hard. I tried to gasp for oxygen, but every breath I took in was EFFORT. I had to sleep with my back elevated, I was almost sitting down. My shoulders were always raised and my mouth always ajar because they made breathing more comfortable. Before we found out about the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler, my mother and grandmother tried all sorts of homeopathic and natural treatments to cure my asthma, because none of the proven medical treatments worked anyway. They fed me ground lizard and crushed seahorse (These are actual traditional asthma treatments where I grew up!), which they mixed to my morning chocolate drink. I only found out years after they did that. It didn't work. I also used a range of inhalers which is enough to fill my entire room. They didn't work. I tried therapeutic swimming, but that didn't really relieve nor cure my asthma. Then my aunt gave me a Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler. It is the only thing that really improved my condition. When I started using the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler, I thought it was just another useless product. But then, thirty minutes of inhaling, my lungs felt so much better. A few hours after that, I started coughing copious amounts of phlegm, which are the main reason why my lungs and nasal passages were so clogged. I started using the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler every day. My breathing became calm, slow, and more importantly, painless. I continued to cough out phlegm, which helped a lot in improving my condition.Today, I no longer suffer from the same asthma symptoms, but I still keep my beloved Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler, which has greatly improved my life. I don't know what's in Himalayan Crystal Salt, but they sure did worked wonders for me. When I ran out of stock, I would usually call my aunt to send me more of the stuff. She refuses to let me pay her, but insists on sending me the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler for free. So I started looking for other sources where I can buy the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler. I asked for friends whether they know about the stuff I inhaled. They thought I was looking for drugs! Anyway, I searched for the stuff in supermarkets, but I couldn't find any. I even asked for the vendors in Chinatown, if they have Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler, but I ended up going home disappointed. I thought, if Chinatown doesn't have which is the place of all exotic medicine, then its probably not available anywhere else.I tried to make other people I know use Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler. I know other people who have similar problems as I did, and they were all either using inhalers, or using nothing at all. I understood this, because most of my friends, including me, have become dependent on inhalers. I don't like the idea of inhaling chemicals, which are already one of the reasons why I have asthma. As much as possible, I avoid using inhalers, if I can help it. instead, I used expectorant syrups and tablets, which partially relieved the condition. But nothing really worked as well as my Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler. When I let my asthmatic friend try it, he also felt the same relief after three inhales. I bought him a new inhaler as a Christmas gift, and he said it was the best gift he ever received this year.I made him use the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler for thirty minutes every day, and his condition improved quite quickly, better than how I improved before. He plays basketball, swims, and jogs for 2 kilometers every day, things which he wasn't able to do back when he had really terrible asthma symptoms.

Dr. R. Thiyagarajan is a versatile personality - a leading homoeopath, psychologist, educationalist, researcher and so on.He is visiting Sri Lanka. U.K., France and number of other global destinations monthly to share the wealth of his knowledge on homoeopathic healing powers for the last 10 years. Some of his regular patients are ranging from the rural folks in Sri Lanka to the high officials in the World Bank.I met Dr. R. Thiyagarajan recently in search of more on the healing power of the homoeopathy which was once introduced and inspired to me by Dr. Mohideen A. Rahaman, a homoeopath from Sri Lanka who is practising for the last three decades just opposite the colonial era Roxy Theatre of Colombo city.Dr. Thiyagarajan is a healer with a human touch in diagnosing and solving problems whether it is physical or emotional. His Homoeocare Hospital in Trichi, a southern town of south Indian state of Tamil Nadu is witnessing his personal achievements. His expanded hospital was recently opened in the presence of Parliamentarians, allopathic physicians, surgeons, skin specialists and so on, is an another recognition for him and the homoeopathy in large.Dr. R. Thiyagarajan emphasized with much enthusiasm the developments of homoeopathy. He says: Ever since the birth of homoeopathy in Germany, in the year 1794, it has been practised by the doctors world over, However, the actual benefits of the homeopathic medical science have not reached every one.As a result, millions of sufferers of chronic diseases are deprived of the homoeopathic treatment simply because of the ignorance about its existence! This is indeed cruel, as in the age of information, deprivation of the homeopathic advantage merely because of the lack of information is intolerable. It is now possible for you to ask and know about the role of homoeopathy for a specific disease condition. For instance, you may ask: 'Does homeopathy have anything to offer for the treatment of Migraine or Asthma?' You will be offered genuine information as to what homoeopathy could offer for the said complaint.

If you or your children are constantly suffering from asthma, like 21.8 million others in the United States, there might be a hidden danger lurking somewhere in your home. This danger is mold and 4.6 million cases can be directly attributed to dampness in the home. Learn about why it's important to have an exterior home remodeling specialist from a roofing replacement company come and inspect your roofing and your attic space to make sure your home isn't an ideal breeding ground for mold. What Is Asthma?People who have asthma can have serious problems breathing. This is because the disorder causes the airways to swell, which makes it harder to intake air. An attack can happen at any time, and symptoms include coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing and even a blue tint to the lips or face.It can be difficult to diagnose asthma because lungs will sound normal when there's no attack. Because of this, many doctors will provide people who suspect they have asthma with a rescue inhaler that contains a steroid. These steroids often allow an immediate opening of the airways, which eliminates the restriction. There's no cure, but it's possible to treat asthma so that sufferers can live a normal life. Why It OccursDifferent sufferers have different triggers that can cause an attack. Some of the most common triggers include animal hair or dander, dust, weather changes (normally moving from warm to cold), exercise, mold, smoke, stress and common colds. Any of these triggers can cause an attack. The key is to know which trigger you suffer from and do everything you can to avoid that trigger. How A Roofing Replacement Company Can HelpMold is one of the biggest triggers plaguing sufferers. Because it can grow unseen in a house, it can be one of the most dangerous triggers. Much of a home's dampness can be attributed to a roof that's improperly ventilated and this improper ventilation may encourage the growth of spores. But why is improper ventilation such a big problem? When a roof is properly ventilated, air can freely circulate throughout the attic. Without it, the air can become humid and stagnant. Stagnant air can condense and the moisture in the air will eventually lead to mold growth on walls, floorboards and more.

Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs. This causes the air passages to narrow periodically resulting in breathing difficulties.According to Ayurveda, it is an aggravation of Kapha and Vata humor. Asthma is a fall out of wrong, improper dietary habits and the accumulation of toxins.Excess exposure to heat or cold, change in weather, certain types of cosmetic products and perfumes, cigarette, pollution etc. are known to cause asthma apart from psychological factors and hereditary factors.Main symptoms are wheezing, coughing, feeling of "tightness" in the chest etc.Ayurvedic treatments are oriented towards rebalancing the body humours, strengthening the digestive system and removing the accumulated toxins.Diagnosis - The Ayurveda WayAll treatments in ayurveda are prescribed only after a careful analysis of the patient's disease. The first consultation with an Ayurveda doctor, including the diagnosis will last for more than an hour. The basic step in the diagnosis will be to find the person's body humour (Dosha) - Vata, Pita or Kapha, because it is the imbalance of these body humours that creates the disease. The dominance of dosha in a person is found by asking several questions on his behaviour, food habits, sleeping patterns, personal details like age, height & weight, place of life, profession, health problems and medical reports etc. Ayurveda diagnosis comprises of clinical and laboratory tests also. The doctor can decide if an Ayurveda treatment is helpful on providing these details. Pulse, tongue, nail, and eye examinations are important diagnosis methods used to reveal a person's body humour and its imbalance.

Anything chronic is considered to be a persistent, recurrent and lasting condition. While chronic bronchitis has often been associated with allergies and/or asthma, there are many other causes that can trigger a bronchial infection. Asthma as we know is a lung disease that is characterized by asthmatic events triggered by a variety of factors which cause a constriction of the bronchial tubes and air passages.A chronic cough, wheezing, breathing difficulties and a tight chest have also been associated with the common smoker's cough. This is unfortunate as there are many environmental factors that can contribute to an infection and caused these types of symptoms. One such environmental factor is dust. While dust is a common substance found everywhere, it's especially problematic for those of us who may have a compromised respiratory system. A less than ideal breathing tract is found in people suffering with asthma, many allergies and yes even smokers. What's been ignored in many cases however, is that exposure to chemicals can cause a sensitivity to environmental factors such as dust.As it's recognized that dust is almost everywhere, it's important to try to limit exposure as much as possible. This sensitivity of the person with chronic bronchitis will determine the level of action that's needed to limit dust exposure. Someone who is extremely sensitive may need special air cleaning equipment installed in their home. While another who's sensitivity is not as pronounced may be able to live comfortably in a home simply on a regular cleaning schedule. Check out the link below for free report on tips to eliminate asthmatic and bronchial cough triggers in your home.Exposure to chemical fumes and odors may compromise an otherwise healthy respiratory system. This in turn can lead to sensitivity to other environmental factors like dust, but also both primary and secondary tobacco smoke. While the validity of the effects of secondhand smoke are continue to be debated, it has been shown to be an important breathing factor for those with a compromised respiratory system. All of these factors can contribute to the chronic cough experienced by many asthma, allergy and bronchitis sufferers.According to the Mayo Clinic, a well regarded medical facility, bronchitis and the resulting cough can also be caused from stomach acid irritating for food pipe or esophagus. This is better known as acid reflux disease.Acid reflux can now be successfully treated with many medications. If you think that someone you know may be suffering from a chronic cough caused by bronchitis or possibly asthma, it's important to understand the lifestyle implications this may involve. The primary focus however, should be to get an accurate diagnosis from a qualified respiratory or pulmonary medical professional.

Asthma is a problem where the bronchioles (air passages) become oversensitive to environmental triggers leading to inflammation and narrowing of the airways within the lungs along with excess mucus production leading to severe breathing difficulties. The number of asthma cases within the population seems to increase every year, perhaps largely due to increased pollution within our environment.Although there is no quick fix cure for asthma there are a number of simple preventative measures you can take to help manage your asthma such as:1) Limit DustIt is important to keep dust inside the home to a minimum by regular vacuuming with a cleaner installed with a high quality filter to trap the dust. Other furniture and household items should regularly be wiped down with a damp cloth to eliminate dust buildup.2) Avoid Mould SporesRooms and other damp areas should also be avoided as mould can often grow in such areas and the mould spores can become airborne and trigger asthma attacks in the same way as pollen. Always use an extraction fan in bathroom areas and if necessary wipe excess water from walls etc after showering to prevent mould from growing.3) Ban Indoor SmokingSmoking can not only trigger asthma attacks but also increases the likelihood of a child developing asthma so the home should be made a smoke free environment to prevent the potential problems it poses.4) Avoid Pollen

In some cases of asthma, chocolate could actually be a trigger that causes an attack, but what if there was a chocolate out there that could help you battle your asthma and could even help you eliminate it all together? We may have the solution to help you finally overcome asthma. It could be something that you enjoy doing, instead of barraging your body with harmful medications and inhalers that don't seem to be able to reach the root of the problem that is causing your asthma in the first place.Asthma is something that we believe is caused by our environment and the sickening amount of environmental pollutants that fill our water, food and the air we breathe. Our environment is becoming unbearable, especially for those who are the innocent ones that are contracting horrible diseases. They are exposed to these pollutants in so many different forms. Take for instance diesel fuel emissions, these emissions have been proven to have cancer-causing agents in them. These pollutants have raised another problem, that problem is how deep these pollutants are inhaled into your lungs when you breathe them in.When doctors where trying to figure out the best size of inhaler medications that would reach the deepest part of your lungs, they found that a size of 2.5 microns were the perfect size to reach the deepest part of your lungs. Now the scary part about that is, the size of diesel fuel emissions is exactly 2.5 microns. These pollutants are going to the deepest part of your lungs, which means the reason you have asthma in the first place could be that these carcinogens have embedded themselves in your lungs. They are causing you many types of respiratory issues that may be directly linked to why you have asthma. Now this chocolate I want to share with you is a rich dark chocolate that is very high in antioxidants but also has the ability to remove these harmful environmental pollutants that have invaded your body. Toxins are inside you right now, causing unbalance, disease and leaving you faced with little to no options in your fight against them. But what if chocolate could help your body eliminate your asthma? Your body is the cure for disease; there are no doctors, no drugs and no natural remedies that can cure asthma. Only your body has that ability and if you can provide your body with the right tools, it can overcome anything.I believe you have stumbled on a very possible tool to help you beat the disease you battle with on a daily basis. Eliminating environmental pollution from your body is the best thing you could ever do for yourself because your body has what we call a toxic burden. Once they are eliminated from your body, then and only then can your body begin to heal itself. Anything is possible, even a special chocolate can put you on the road to overcoming asthma. The fun thing about this is that it tastes amazing! Give yourself the gift of healing and a future free from disease. Healing could be only clicks away, what are you waiting for?

Raw food diet is a natural asthma remedy that addresses asthma problems at the root. Many people with long term asthma do not realize that the root cause of their asthma could be simply due to their diet. In today's modern, fast-paced world, the daily diet of most people consist mainly of processed foods. Instead of wholesome foods, we eat processed carbohydrates in our diets. And that, unknowingly to our society, is the root cause of many illnesses and diseases, which are the manifestation of a poor diet, including asthma.Medical treatment can only help to provide you with short term relief from asthma. Medical drugs can help to treat the symptoms of your asthma and perhaps, in emergency cases, to provide instant relief that may help to save your life through artificial means of stimulating and opening your breathing airways to allow in oxygen into your lungs. However, it is not a long term and holistic cure. Knowing this fact, one of the things that we can do instantly for the sake of our health, is to change our daily diet.Raw food diet is a diet that primarily consists of uncooked fruits and vegetables. Occasionally, you may have some nuts and seeds added to the meal. Many people who tried this diet consistently after some time found that their asthma attacks had reduced in frequency and that the intensity of it had lessened. They also found that they felt stronger and healthier in general, whether it is asthma due to allergies or work related asthma. They no longer succumbed to chronic fatigue and suffer those terrible coughs and wheezing that used to keep them up all night. There are some myths that forms a barrier to starting a raw food diet. First of all, you do not have to be eating 100% raw foods in order to receive the benefits of it. There are plenty of people who receive relief from their problems by going to a diet that is 70% raw or even 50% raw. It still may be a little bit of a transition, however, so here's one way for you to be able to handle it.Instead of switching over suddenly to raw food entirely, allow your body to get accustomed to the diet change slowly by adding in raw food into your meals. The extra raw food added will automatically make you eat less of the unhealthy processed foods portion. Try adding a salad, some fruits or vegetables into every meal.

When you have trouble breathing, how do you know if it is asthma or allergies? It is all too easy to assume that if someone is experiencing tightening of the throat or a constriction of the bronchial passages or airway, then it must be some form of asthma. The advice in this article in no way supersedes that of a physician, but is meant as a first step towards awareness. The following five points will help when trying to deciding whether the breathing difficulties being experienced are due to asthma or to an allergic reaction.1. Timing--One of the first things that you should consider is when the symptoms occur. If, for example, the breathing difficulty only occurs after exercise, or at stressful times, or after laughing very hard, then the chances are that the condition is asthma based. However, there are some gray areas where it may be hard to tell. For example, some asthmatics can find the condition triggered by strong odors, such as cleaning agents and detergents. This could easily be confused as being an allergic reaction, and so unless the cause is very obvious, make no further assumptions as to whether it is asthma or an allergies, but check the next four points on this list.2. Flaky/itchy skin--Check the skin for any flaky or irritated patches. You may not have associated the breathing difficulty with the itchiness of the skin, but the two may very well be twin reactions to a common cause. Eczema is a condition that causes flaky, damaged, and irritated skin. If this occurs at roughly the same as the breathing difficulty it tends to indicate allergies.

3. Nasal Discharge--The body's main way of getting rid of any foreign body or unwanted irritant is to flush it out, which results in a discharge. This is exactly what happens if you have a cold for example - the body tries to flush out the harmful bacteria by causing your nasal glands to work overtime. With allergies, the body over reacts to a harmless allergen, and this can result in a excess mucous in the nose. If you find your breathing difficulty occurs as a result, this is highly suggestive of an allergic reaction.

4. Discharge from ears--This isn't always easy to spot because we can't look in our ears! But if you do notice that you seem to need to clean your ears more frequently, that there is extra wax build up, or even that your hearing is deteriorating slightly, then this can also suggest an allergic reaction. If you notice any discharge from the ears, either one or both, this may be indicative of an allergy, and should be checked immediately by a physician.

5. Watery Eyes--Watery eyes can be the result of your eyes attempt to flush out irritants, or a sticky discharge which may be yellowish in color usually indicating infection. Either of these may be strongly suggestive of the body over reacting to some form of allergen, and is likely to mean that any breathing difficulty you experience is the result of an allergic reaction.
